Yoga with Lenovo, sexist phones & AfriCom 2013 | #TechnoBiz with Arthur Goldstuck

BizRadio chats to Arthur Goldstuck and we get the week’s tech & gadgets insights:

  • Launch of the new Lenovo tablet – Yoga – This week Lenovo unveiled the Yoga Tablet, which lets customers hold, tilt or stand the device, allowing it to adapt to the user instead of forcing people to use it in a certain way.
  • Huawei unveiled the Ascend P6 – dubbed as the worlds slimmest Smartphone, measuring 6.18mm thin (and comes in PINK) aimed specifically to the female market – a bit sexist me thinks!
  • Black Berry Z30 now in stores in SA – bigger and better they say!
  • AfriCom is by far the largest communications and techno show hosted in Africa, but has never been one for big product launches – however this year ONE stood out – Ericsson Radio Dot System – a disc-shaped cellular radio small enough to fit in a person’s hand – This breakthrough solution, introduces a revolutionary antenna element, or “dot,” which delivers mobile broadband access to users. Because of its convenient size, scalability, and compelling evolution path, this product caters to different kinds of users in medium to large indoor locations, and aims to address operators’ needs of offering a complete indoor solution.
